  • Evert fall I forage for Black Walnut Hulls on my neighborhood walks. The squirrels do much of the work for me by chewing off and dropping the nuts outer hull to get to the nut meat inside. I cook the fallen black walnut hulls for several hours over multiple days. Once the ink has brewed I strain out the plant material and add clove oil as a preservative. It has become one of my staple supplies for my own art practice.

This ink is very lightfast. It is suitable for use with brushes or dip pens. The ink can be diluted with water or combined with other water-based paints and inks. If the ink dries on your palette it can be rewet for use in the same manner as a dry watercolor paint.

The ink is all natural, but not suitable for consumption. Keep away from pets and unsupervised children.

    Ingredients:

    -Black Walnut Hulls
